Hanuman does not leave immediately after receiving the jewel there beneath the Ashoka tree in Lanka. He consoles Janaka's daughter in many ways and places courage again around the life she struggles to preserve.
Then the messenger lowers his head to her lotus feet. The meeting begun from concealment in the leaves closes in open reverence before the mother he has found.
He turns toward Rama. Ring has become chudamani, uncertainty has become witnessed news, and the ocean must now be crossed with Sita's exact words held beside the jewel.
Hanuman leaves Sita's feet carrying the jewel and words that will bring Rama to the sea.

जनकसुतहि समुझाइ करि बहु बिधि धीरजु दीन्ह। चरन कमल सिरु नाइ कपि गवनु राम पहिं कीन्ह।।27।।
Having consoled Janaka's daughter and given her courage in many ways, the monkey bowed his head at her lotus feet and set forth to return to Rama.
