Lakshmana enters the city under Rama's instruction and immediately calls its people together. The citizens gather with the assembly of Brahmins to witness the restoration of order after the death of Vali.
Sugriva, once beaten from the kingdom and driven through the worlds in fear, receives the royal charge. The refuge who lived upon Rishyamukha now sits where the ministers had once placed him under tragic misunderstanding.
Angada is not cast aside with his father's fall. Lakshmana establishes Vali's son as yuvaraja, the crown prince. In one public act, Rama's command gives kingship to the friend and an honored future to the child entrusted by the dying king.
The throne returns to Sugriva while Angada stands beside it as the promised heir.

Lakshmana at once summoned the citizens and the assembly of Brahmins. He bestowed the kingdom upon Sugriva and made Angada the yuvaraja, the crown prince.
