Tara Weeps beside Vali until Rama Reveals the Eternal Jiva

Rama sends Vali to his own abode, and distress surges through the city. Tara comes with loosened hair, unable to care for her body, pouring grief beside the fallen king. Raghuraya sees her overwhelmed and gives knowledge that removes the Maya covering her sight.
The body before her is formed of earth, water, fire, sky, and air. That visible body lies openly upon the ground, but the jiva is eternal. For whom does she weep? Knowledge rises within Tara. She falls at Rama's feet and asks him for the supreme boon of devotion. Shiva tells Uma that Rama directs all beings as one makes a wooden puppet dance.
The movement returns from revelation to duty. At Rama's command Sugriva performs every funeral rite according to rule. Rama then tells Lakshmana to go and give the kingdom to Sugriva. Heads bow at Raghupati's feet, and all depart to carry out the order of the Lord who has answered death with knowledge, devotion, and rightful action.
Beside Vali's fivefold body, Tara finds the eternal jiva and asks only for devotion.

राम बालि निज धाम पठावा। नगर लोग सब ब्याकुल धावा।। नाना बिधि बिलाप कर तारा। छूटे केस न देह सँभारा।। तारा बिकल देखि रघुराया । दीन्ह ग्यान हरि लीन्ही माया।। छिति जल पावक गगन समीरा। पंच रचित अति अधम सरीरा।। प्रगट सो तनु तव आगें सोवा। जीव नित्य केहि लगि तुम्ह रोवा।। उपजा ग्यान चरन तब लागी। लीन्हेसि परम भगति बर मागी।। उमा दारु जोषित की नाई। सबहि नचावत रामु गोसाई।। तब सुग्रीवहि आयसु दीन्हा। मृतक कर्म बिधिबत सब कीन्हा।। राम कहा अनुजहि समुझाई। राज देहु सुग्रीवहि जाई।। रघुपति चरन नाइ करि माथा। चले सकल प्रेरित रघुनाथा।।
Rama sent Bali to His own eternal dhama, and all the people of the city rushed about in distress. Tara lamented in many ways, her hair undone, her body forgotten in grief. Seeing Tara so stricken, Raghuraya gave her divine jnana and lifted away her maya. 'This lowly body is made of five elements: earth, water, fire, sky, and wind. That body lying before you is only visible matter. The jiva is eternal. For whom, then, do you weep?' When jnana arose in her heart, she fell at His feet and asked for the supreme boon of bhakti. O Uma, like a puppeteer with wooden dolls, Rama Gosain makes everyone dance by His will. Then He gave orders to Sugriva, who performed all the last rites according to proper vidhi. Rama instructed His younger brother Lakshmana, 'Go and give the kingdom to Sugriva.' Bowing their heads at the feet of Raghupati, all departed as directed by Raghunatha.
