The ocean of milk extends beyond every horizon, pale beneath the unbroken light of the eternal realm. Upon its quiet immensity reclines the Lord. His form is dark as a newly opened blue lotus, deep enough to gather the gaze and draw it past the edge of thought.

His eyes hold the tender red of young lotuses opening at dawn. They do not look upon creation from a remote heaven. Their compassion reaches worlds suspended in birth and death, entering hidden rooms, forest hermitages, crowded cities, and the smallest unspoken longing of the heart.

Tulsidas does not ask merely to behold this cosmic form. He asks the One who rests upon the boundless ocean to make a permanent dwelling within him. The immeasurable is invited into the intimate chamber of the breast.

The milk ocean remains without shore, and the blue Lotus Lord enters one human heart.

Read the passage from the Manas

नील सरोरुह स्याम तरुन अरुन बारिज नयन। करउ सो मम उर धाम सदा छीरसागर सयन।।3।।

May the Lord who reclines upon the ocean of milk make His dwelling forever in my heart. His body is dark as a fresh blue lotus; His eyes bloom soft and red as the young morning lotus at dawn.
