Both parties move forward from their ordered positions, eager to meet. The last distance cannot be left to formal waiting when affection has already crossed it.
The verse sees two oceans of ananda approaching and merging at an auspicious hour. Neither loses by union, and no boundary can be found where the joy of Ayodhya ends and Mithila's begins.
Procession and welcome, guest and host, giver and receiver flow into one another. The image anticipates the marriage itself, where two royal houses remain distinct yet become joined through love. On the open road, before city and pavilion, the first great confluence takes place.
Ayodhya and Mithila meet like two seas discovering that their water is one joy.

Rejoicing, both parties moved forward to meet one another, as though two oceans of ananda were merging at an auspicious hour.
