The messengers answer the father's questions by first naming his fortune. Among all rulers, none is as blessed as the crown jewel of Ayodhya.
His sons are Ram and Lakshmana, the two ornaments of the universe. Their beauty and deeds do not merely adorn a dynasty. They lend grace to the world that beholds them.
Dasharatha asks from parental anxiety, wanting assurance that the youths are safe in a distant land. The reply turns his concern toward wonder. The boys he longs to protect have become protection, splendour, and joy for Mithila. Fatherhood and divine glory meet within the same names, and the king is invited to recognize the immeasurable blessing already living in his house.
The father asks whether his sons are safe; the messengers answer that the universe is adorned by them.

सुनहु महीपति मुकुट मनि तुम्ह सम धन्य न कोउ। रामु लखनु जिन्ह के तनय बिस्व बिभूषन दोउ।।291।।
Listen, O crown jewel among kings: none in all the world is as blessed as you, whose sons are Rama and Lakshmana, the two ornaments of the universe.
