Sita praises Gauri among those devoted wives who hold the husband as deity. In Parvati, this sacred fidelity shines with its foremost and most complete mark.
The praise remembers tapasya, union, service, and the indivisible love through which Shakti abides with Shiva. Sita approaches the Mother not only as cosmic power, but as knower of the destiny between woman and chosen Lord.
Her glory exceeds narration. A thousand Saraswatis and a thousand Sheshas could speak together and still not reach its boundary. Sita's prayer therefore rests in reverence where language ends.
Before the one whose fidelity won Shiva, Sita places the unspoken future of her own love.

पतिदेवता सुतीय महुँ मातु प्रथम तव रेख। महिमा अमित न सकहिं कहि सहस सारदा सेष।।235।।
Among devoted wives who hold their husband as their deity, O Mother, yours is the foremost mark. Your boundless glory cannot be told even by a thousand Saradas and Seshas together.
