Kausalya joins her palms and entreats Ram again and again. The mother who has just seen universes in every pore does not ask to retain the vision or gain power from it.
Her prayer is simpler and more inward: may the Lord's Maya never again envelop her. Let affection remain free from forgetfulness, and let the intimate sight of her son never hide the Reality she has been allowed to know.
The request does not reject maternal love as illusion. It asks that love remain transparent to truth. Kausalya wants to cradle Ram fully as child while remembering, beneath every small gesture, the immeasurable One who cradles all worlds.
Kausalya asks to love the child without ever losing sight of the infinite.

Again and again Kausalya entreats with joined palms: "O Lord, may Your maya never again envelop me."
