The Lord sends the beloved couple first toward Amaravati. For a time they will enjoy the abundant pleasures of Indra's celestial city, not as the end of their tapasya but as one station within the promise.
Beyond heaven waits another kingship. Manu will become ruler of Ayodhya, the earthly city where the longing of Naimisha will ripen inside palace walls and royal lineage.
There the Lord will be born as his son. The route from forest austerity to divine parenthood passes through heaven and returns to earth. Ayodhya becomes the place where a boon granted beyond time enters human history.
Past the splendour of Amaravati, Ayodhya waits for the promised child.
