Hara tries many ways to persuade Sati to remain, but Daksha's daughter cannot release the wish to go. At last the destroyer of cosmic fortresses yields before the resolve of the one he loves.

He sends his chief ganas to accompany and protect her. Their formidable forms gather around the departing procession, an escort shaped by care even when the journey itself carries no blessing.

Shiva bids her farewell. The distance to Daksha's house opens before Sati, while behind her Kailash recedes into the silence of a warning she has heard but cannot follow.

The ganas surround Sati, and Shiva watches the unwanted journey begin.

Read the passage from the Manas

कहि देखा हर जतन बहु रहइ न दच्छकुमारि। दिए मुख्य गन संग तब बिदा कीन्ह त्रिपुरारि।।62।।

Hara tried many ways to dissuade her, but Daksha's daughter would not stay. Then Tripurari sent her forth with his chief ganas as escort and bade her farewell.
