At Prayag, three sacred rivers meet, one of them moving unseen beneath the earth. Pilgrims descend the steps, enter the converging currents, and emerge carrying the memory of cold water and prayer upon their skin.
Tulsidas sees another confluence wherever saints assemble. To hear with attention is to approach its bank. To understand is to step into the water. To let love deepen is to surrender to the current until the old boundary between listener and sacred story begins to loosen.
The fruit is not postponed to another body or distant heaven. Dharma, rightful prosperity, fulfilled desire, and liberation can ripen while this very life continues. The body remains upon the earth, but the heart has bathed where devotion, wisdom, and detachment meet.
The listener leaves the water, yet the confluence continues within.

सुनि समुझहिं जन मुदित मन मज्जहिं अति अनुराग। लहहिं चारि फल अछत तनु साधु समाज प्रयाग।।2।।
Those who hear this tale and take it to heart, immersing themselves with deep love, attain all four fruits of life. Dharma, artha, kama, and moksha become theirs while they still walk this earth. The gathering of saints is itself a Prayag, the holiest of confluences, where the waters of devotion, wisdom, and detachment meet.
