Gods, sages, and Gandharvas gather around the trembling Earth. Her cow form carries the grief of burned settlements, silenced mantras, violated dharma, and creatures forced beneath Ravana's command.
No single celestial power steps forward as sufficient. The assembly moves together toward the realm of Brahma, carrying petition, fear, music fallen silent, and the hope that creation's lord will know where protection may be found.
Earth walks among them, shaken by sorrow. The path rises away from the afflicted world, yet every step bears its weight. Before Brahma, the suffering of soil and creature will be placed into words.
Through the gates of Brahma's realm walks a weeping cow attended by the powers of heaven.
Read the passage from the Manas
The gods, the sages, and the gandharvas all assembled together and went to the realm of Brahma. With them went the sorrowful Earth in the form of a cow, deeply shaken by fear and grief.
