Great yogis and hardened ascetics come under Kama's power. If those who trained a lifetime to master the senses fall, the condition of ordinary people requires no further telling.
The deepest conquest occurs in perception. Those who once looked upon moving and unmoving existence and saw Brahman everywhere now see the world only through the division of sexual form. Women perceive all as male; men perceive all as female.
For two brief watches of time, the whole cosmos is reorganized by desire. Reality has not changed, but the lens through which it is seen has been seized.
Brahman still fills the worlds, yet desire paints its own image across every surface.
Read the passage from the Manas
Great yogis and tapasis came under the power of Kama. What then to speak of ordinary folk? Those who had always beheld the world as Brahmamaya, pervaded by Brahman alone, now saw everything as woman.
