Maina turns her pain toward Narada. What harm had she done that the wandering sage should empty her home? Detached from wife, wealth, and dwelling, how could he understand a mother's anguish or fear the damage his counsel caused?
Bhavani watches without defensiveness and answers in soft wisdom. What the Creator has written cannot be displaced by blame. If a mad husband is inscribed in her destiny, Narada did not write the mark, nor can grief erase it.
She asks her mother not to gather needless fault upon herself. Joy and sorrow will meet Parvati wherever they have been appointed. The daughter becomes the steadier heart, protecting Maina even while the mother believes she must protect her.
Parvati wipes blame from the room while Maina still holds her in tears.
Read the passage from the Manas
"What harm have I ever done to Narada, that he has laid waste to my home and my happiness? It was he who gave such counsel to Uma! And the maddened Vidhi who arranged such a groom!"
