The procession matches its bridegroom, creating wonder at every turn. Far ahead, Himachal raises ceremonial canopies of indescribable beauty and invites the whole geography of creation to his daughter's wedding.

Great and small mountains arrive. Forests, oceans, rivers, and lakes assume beautiful forms and come with their households and noble consorts, singing auspicious songs with love. The natural world becomes a vast family converging upon the house of snow.

Himavan has prepared dwellings for every guest according to need. The city shines with such skill and abundance that even Brahma's artistry appears small. Wild procession and exquisite welcome move toward one another beneath the immense wedding canopy.

Rivers and mountains take human form and enter the city singing for their sister Parvati.

Read the passage from the Manas

As the bridegroom, so the wedding procession. Delightful spectacles of every kind unfold along the way. Meanwhile, Himachal has raised a great canopy, so wondrous that no words can capture it.
