The voice proclaims that no one has performed austerity like Bhavani. Many steadfast and learned sages would fear the path she has completed. She is told to hold Brahma's pure and unfailing words within her heart.
When her father comes, she must release the final insistence upon remaining and return home. The arrival of the seven sages will serve as the sign that the promise is true. Hearing this, Girija thrills with joy.
The telling now turns from Uma's beautiful discipline toward Shiva. Since Sati left her body, Mahadeva has lived detached from worldly relation, repeating Raghunayak's Name and seeking every place where Ram's virtues are sung. Two great vows have ripened apart and are moving toward one another.
Parvati's tapas ends in the forest while Shiva wanders the earth with Ram upon his lips.

अस तपु काहुँ न कीन्ह भवानी। भउ अनेक धीर मुनि ग्यानी।। अब उर धरहु ब्रह्म बर बानी। सत्य सदा संतत सुचि जानी।। आवै पिता बोलावन जबहीं। हठ परिहरि घर जाएहु तबहीं।। मिलहिं तुम्हहि जब सप्त रिषीसा। जानेहु तब प्रमान बागीसा।। सुनत गिरा बिधि गगन बखानी। पुलक गात गिरिजा हरषानी।। उमा चरित सुंदर मैं गावा। सुनहु संभु कर चरित सुहावा।। जब तें सती जाइ तनु त्यागा। तब सें सिव मन भयउ बिरागा।। जपहिं सदा रघुनायक नामा। जहँ तहँ सुनहिं राम गुन ग्रामा।।
"O Bhavani, no one has ever performed such tapasya, not across countless ages, not even the most steadfast and wise sages. Now hold the excellent words of Brahma in your heart, knowing them to be forever true and eternally pure."
