Night brings Bharata no sleep, and daylight brings no hunger. The meeting has not ended his sacred anxiety because Ram's return remains unresolved.

His thought is pure but restless, turning again and again within a space too narrow to reveal a lawful path forward.

He resembles a fish trapped where clear deep water has shrunk into shallow mud. Water is present, yet not enough for free movement or breath. Ram is near, yet duty, guru, mother, kingdom, and exile press around Bharata from every side. Love lives, but cannot yet find the depth in which to act.

With Ram near but no righteous remedy visible, Bharata moves through thought like a fish gasping where clear water has become mud.

Read the passage from the Manas

निसि न नीद नहिं भूख दिन भरतु बिकल सुचि सोच। नीच कीच बिच मगन जस मीनहि सलिल सँकोच।।252।।

No nidra comes to Bharat at night, no bhookh visits him by day. He is bikal, restless and pure in his soch, his sacred grief. Like a fish that writhes in shallow, muddy water when the clear stream has gone.
