Bharadvaja addresses the powers that have appeared before him. Their task is not to glorify his austerity or astonish the royal company for its own sake.
Bharata is aching with separation from Ram. Shatrughna and the immense society around them have carried the same sorrow across road and river. They are to be received as honored guests and relieved of weariness.
The joyful sage-king makes compassion the command governing every wonder to follow. Mystic attainment bends toward tired feet, hungry bodies, and hearts fixed elsewhere. Abundance will not compete with devotion because it arises in service to devotion. The hermitage prepares to reveal how spiritual power looks when it chooses hospitality.
Bharadvaja gives every mystic power one purpose: ease the weariness of the company travelling in longing for Ram.

राम बिरह ब्याकुल भरतु सानुज सहित समाज। पहुनाई करि हरहु श्रम कहा मुदित मुनिराज।।213।।
Bharat, aching with longing for Rama, travels here with his younger brother and all his company. Receive them as honored guests and ease their weariness. So spoke the joyful sage-king, Bharadwaj.
