The trap is complete. Manthara directs Kaikeyi toward the chamber reserved for royal anger, where distress can be staged before Dasharatha arrives.
Every detail must be arranged carefully, and the king must not be trusted too quickly. Even affection is to be treated as a hazard until oath and promise bind him.
Kaikeyi now moves from persuasion into theatre. The anger chamber will make an imagined injury physically visible through discarded ornaments, bare ground, silence, and refusal. Deceit prepares its own sacred looking space, using the forms of wounded love to conceal an assault upon love itself.
Manthara turns a private room into the stage upon which false injury will command a king.

Having laid her cruel trap, the sinful Manthara said: "Now go to the kopagriha, the anger-chamber. Arrange everything with utmost care, and do not trust the king too hastily."
