रघुनाथ तुम्हारे चरित मनोहर गावहिं सकल अवधबासी। अति उदार अवतार मनुज-बपु धरे ब्रह्म अज अबिनासी॥ १ ॥ प्रथम ताड़का हति, सुबाहु बधि, मख राख्यो द्विज, हितकारी। देखि दुखी अति सिला सापबस रघुपति बिप्रनारि तारी॥ २ ॥ सब भूपनको गरब हर्यो, हरि भंज्यो संभु-चाप भारी। जनकसुता समेत आवत गृह परसुराम अति मदहारी॥ ३ ॥ तात-बचन तजि राज-काज सुर चित्रकूट मुनिबेष धर्यो। एक नयन कीन्हों सुरपति-सुत, बधि बिराध रिषि-सोक हर्यो॥ ४ ॥ पंचबटी पावन राघव करि सूपनखा कुरूप कीन्हीं। खर-दूषन संहारि कपटमृग-गीधराज कहूँ गति दीन्हीं॥ ५ ॥ हति कबंध, सुग्रीव सखा करि, बेधे ताल, बालि मारयो। बानर-रीछ सहाय, अनुज सँग सिंधु बाँधि जस बिस्तारयो॥ ६ ॥ सकुल पुत्र दल सहित दसानन मारि अखिल सुर-दुख टारयो। परमसाधु जिय जानि बिभीषन लंकापुरी तिलक सारयो॥ ७ ॥ सीता अरु लछिमन सँग लीन्हें औरहु जिते दास आए। नगर निकट बिमान आए, सब नर-नारी देखन धाए॥ ८ ॥ सिव-बिरंचि, सुक-नारदादि मुनि अस्तुति करत बिमल बानी। चौदह भुवन चराचर हरषित, आए राम राजधानी॥ ९ ॥ मिले भरत, जननी, गुर, परिजन चाहत परम अनंद भरे। दुसह-बियोग-जनित दारुन दुख रामचरन देखत बिसरे॥ १० ॥ बेद-पुरान बिचारि लगन सुभ महाराज अभिषेक कियो। तुलसिदास जिय जानि सुअवसर भगति-दान तब माँगि लियो॥ ११ ॥ श्रीसीतारामचन्द्रार्पणमस्तु
Raghunātha, all the people of Ayodhyā sing your captivating deeds: the unborn, imperishable Brahman, supremely generous, took human form as an avatāra. (1) First you slew Tāḍakā and Subāhu and, friend of the brahmins, protected the sacrifice; seeing the brahmin's wife suffering as a stone beneath the curse, Raghupati delivered her. (2) Hari broke mighty Śiva's bow and humbled the pride of every king; returning home with Janaka's daughter, he utterly crushed Paraśurāma's arrogance. (3) At his father's word he left the kingdom for the gods' work and wore an ascetic guise at Citrakūṭa; he left Indra's son one-eyed, slew Virādha, and ended the sages' grief. (4) Rāghava sanctified Pañcavaṭī and disfigured Śūrpaṇakhā; destroying Khara and Dūṣaṇa, he granted a blessed end to the deceptive deer and the king of vultures. (5) He slew Kabandha, befriended Sugrīva, pierced the palm trees, and killed Vāli; aided by monkeys and bears, he bridged the ocean with his younger brother and spread his fame. (6) He killed ten-headed Rāvaṇa with his clan, sons, and army and removed every sorrow of the gods; knowing Vibhīṣaṇa inwardly as supremely holy, he crowned him in Laṅkā. (7) Taking Sītā and Lakṣmaṇa and all the other servants who had come, he approached the city by aerial car, and every woman and man ran to see him. (8) Śiva, Brahmā, Śuka, Nārada, and other sages praised him with stainless speech; all moving and unmoving beings in the fourteen worlds rejoiced as Rāma entered his capital. (9) Bharata, the mothers, the guru, and all the family—longing for him and filled with supreme joy—met him; at the sight of Rāma's feet they forgot the terrible anguish born of unbearable separation. (10) Having consulted Veda and Purāṇa, the great king's consecration was performed at an auspicious hour. Recognizing the favorable moment within his heart, Tulsīdāsa then asked for the gift of devotion. (11) May this be offered to Śrī Sītā-Rāmacandra.
