After deep reflection, Rāma fixed the decision firmly within his mind; every moment of the compassionate Lord now passed in preserving worldly duty, Vedic duty, and love. (1) She was his beloved, regarding her husband as deity; Umā and Ramā envied her fidelity. Knowing Sītā, jewel among women, to be pregnant and exceedingly delicate, he hesitated. (2) She rejoices only in my happiness and never dreams of happiness for herself. Remembering the virtues of his wife, the very home of virtues, he sank into grief. (3) Even great poets hesitate to describe the inaccessible love of Rāma and Sītā. Tulsī speaks their secret only by Rāma's grace. (4)
