फिरि-फिरि राम सीय तनु हेरत। तृषित जानि जल लेन लषन गए, भुज उठाइ ऊँचे चढ़ि टेरत॥ १ ॥ अवनि कुरंग, बिहँग द्रुम-डारन रूप निहारत पलक न प्रेरत। मगन न डरत निरखि कर-कमलनि सुभग सरासन सायक फेरत॥ २ ॥ अवलोकत मग-लोग चहूँ दिसि, मनहु चकोर चंद्रमहि घेरत। ते जन भूरिभाग भूतलपर तुलसी राम-पथिक-पद जे रत॥ ३ ॥
Again and again Rāma turns to look at Sītā's form. Knowing her thirsty, Lakṣmaṇa has gone for water; Rāma climbs high, raises his arm, and calls to him. (1) Deer on the ground and birds on tree branches gaze upon his beauty without moving an eyelid. Absorbed, they do not fear as they watch his lotus hands move over his lovely bow and arrows. (2) People along the road look from every side, like chakora birds surrounding the moon. Tulsī says those devoted to the feet of Rāma the traveler are greatly fortunate upon the earth. (3)
