The heroes shine in the sage's company! Wearing side-locks, bows and arrows in hand, lovely yellow cloth at their waists and quivers beside it. (1) Their faces are moons, their eyes lotuses; their dark and fair bodies are abodes of splendor. Beholding their boundless beauty, the sage thrills, and the throng of love will not fit within his heart. (2) They play and walk, making wonders along the road, lingering upon the banks of rivers and lakes. They pluck vines, flowers, and lotuses and drink cool water like nectar. (3) They sit upon spotless rocks beneath trees and praise again and again the shade and breeze. Seeing them, peacocks dance, while bees, royal swans, cuckoos, and parrots sing sweetly. (4) Gazing upon them, birds, deer, cows, cowherd women, and cowherds gain the fruit of their eyes. Tulsī says: all offer the Lord a seat in the tender lotus-cottage of their own minds. (5)
