Hearing the great sage's words, the king remains as though robbed of his senses. Overcome by love for Rāma, he can say nothing; his body thrills and his eyes fill with tears. (1) Then guru Vasiṣṭha explains; his heart rejoices, knowing Rāma as the Lord who reclines upon Śeṣa. Taking his sons by the hand, he falls at the brahmin's feet and entrusts them to him; delight surges through the sage's heart. (2) Tulsī says: the Lord binds the heart the instant one beholds him; he shines and enchants ten million Loves. The two seem the embodied months of Madhu and Mādhava accompanying the sun upon its northward course. (3)
