“Before me I see a radiance, dense as a row of dark blue kalāya flowers, intoxicating to behold. Drowning in the nectar of it, I begin to make out within the brilliance the form of one in divine youth, lovely with the first edge of adolescence, body trembling at the supreme blissful taste, surrounded by Nārada and the rest, the gathered gem-women of the Upaniṣads.”
