They sing auspicious songs as the instruments play; Sneh Lata rejoices inwardly over the daughter.

Pada 12

All the companions go together toward the lovely pond; Janak’s cherished daughter shines among them. They carry auspicious pitchers, oil, and sprouted grain, while ceremonial instruments sound.

They sing captivating songs of blessing; hearing them, the maiden grows shy. Priceless music of joyful welcome resounds, and all the gods shower flowers.

Srinidhi carries a jewel-studded spade in his hand; they go to dig the ritual earth.

Pada 13

Friend, behold Siya’s lovely matkor— everyone is overcome with bliss!

Through immense good fortune this hour has come; rejoice, and sound the glad music of blessing— flowers are raining on every side.

All the companions sing auspicious songs; again and again they offer themselves to the four princesses, while instruments thunder all around.

Drums, mridangas, and nafiris sound; on every side cries of “Victory!” spread delight, and Srinidhi dances, lost in bliss.

Pada 14

Today Siya goes to worship Kamala. Uma, Rama, Kamala, and Brahmani—all have manifested from her; that very Sita now asks Kamala for a dark and beautiful husband.
