Sing Ramalala’s nahchu with the deepest joy; whoever sings it attains accomplishment and the supreme treasure. ॥19॥

King Dasharatha sits resplendent upon his throne; Tulsidas gives himself in sacrifice at the sight of Raghuraja.

Whoever sings, recites, and listens to this nahchu attains prosperity, spiritual power, blessedness, and liberation. ॥20॥

Haradi-bukavan — Pada 5

Today is auspicious, delightful, and supremely pleasing to the heart; the turmeric-anointing advances the blessed union of the Divine Couple.

It bathes Mithila in happiness and pours down rasa; the turmeric-anointing reveals the feet of the Divine Couple.

It makes supreme love manifest and binds the wedding bond; the turmeric-anointing awakens the Beloved Boy and Darling Girl.

The very sight of it releases one from the world and sends sorrow away; the turmeric-anointing fills the heart with joy and dispels its grief.

Raising the Tilak — Pada 6

Today there is supreme, transcendent bliss, friend—its beauty cannot be described, O mother! A company of Brahmins has come to raise the tilak for all four princes, O mother!

The courtyard is plastered with cow-dung, and ritual squares are filled with pearls, O mother; leafy vessels brim with water, lamps are lit, and auspicious songs are sung, O mother.

Ganapati, Gauri, Girisha, the village deities, and Sri Rangadeva are invoked, O mother; seeing the glorious tilak bestowed, the gods fill the sky with cries of victory, O mother.
