Dohā: Joining her hands, Siddhi stood and said, “Listen, Rama, abode of bliss: We are handmaids at your feet, women thirsting for love. Beloved, remember your own renowned nature and do not withhold affection from us.” His eyes filled with tears as Raghunandana replied, “Beloved ones, we are your captives.” After consoling her in many ways, Siddhi returned to her palace.

Raghunandana, accompanied by his brothers and companions, then entered Janaka's assembly. He respectfully bowed at Janaka's feet, received permission, and departed. When the princes and their companions reached the outer gate, the servants completed every preparation and summoned their conveyances. Some rode elephants, others horses, all splendidly adorned; some mounted beautiful chariots, while countless great instruments sounded. Lovely standards shone across the sky and heralds called aloud. From every direction arose songs, praises, and proclamations of glory. Some held royal parasols above their heads, while others spread fans in their hands. Some offered betel and water to Rama, and others waved fly-whisks on both sides.

With this full royal array, Sri Raghunandana mounted and set out for the guest pavilion. The women of Janaka's city leaned eagerly from their balconies to see him. One said, “Mithilesha's Kishori is fair as lightning, while Prince Rama is dark and lovely—how perfectly the pair is matched!” Another said, “In what birth did we worship so well that this longing has been fulfilled? May fate grant that in some birth I too might meet Prince Rama and serve him with body and heart.” Another said, “Blessed is that woman of royal lineage who amassed such merit in a former life that she has gained birth beside Sri Prince Rama.”
