Bow your head at the feet of Shankara, the supreme bestower of good; O Lord, let us behold the blessed union of Sita and Raghubara.
I cling to the feet of Gauri Gosain with love; O Goddess, ever keep Sri Ramalala as my bridegroom and the young maiden as my bride.
I bow to Sri Dinkara, lord of the body; O god, quickly show us the wedding of Sita and Rama.
With joined hands I ask this boon; bend down your head and grant it, Sri Ranganatha: may Sita’s married felicity endure for as long as the earth bears weight upon its head.
I petition you, O village god and village goddess—show mercy; reveal the union of Sita and Raghubara and fill us with joy.
They humbly ask the ancestral deities for gladness; the gods appear and bless them, and the Mother gathers those blessings into her veil.
Sri Ramalala Nahchu — Sohar Metre — Pada 4
First invoke Sharada, Ganapati, and Gauri; sing and recite the nahchu of Ramalala.
Whoever sings it attains accomplishment and the supreme treasure; the sins of ten million births depart. ॥1॥
Countless instruments resound in Dasharatha’s palace; all the heavenly realms behold it, their hearts overflowing with joy.
The city appears so lovely that it cannot be described; Kausalya’s delight will not fit within her heart. ॥2॥
