Says Bihari: the instant I beheld that graceful youth, he entered and settled within me; I became profoundly bewildered. Separation became immeasurable, and nowhere did I find release; Kausalya’s son became the very pupil of my eyes.” (19)

A radiant crown shines upon his head, spreading moonlike brilliance. The earrings at his ears humble the pride of fish; his gentle smile contains the sweetness of kalakand. Remembering him drives me mad; all movement and reason desert me in the spell of his beauty. In all three worlds we have never beheld a vision like today’s vision of the blessed couple’s moonlike faces. (20)
Stanza 21
Millions of sun-gems ornament the peacock crown upon his head; its moonlike gleam dazzles the eyes. A jeweled crest rises there and a peacock plume waves above it; the strange splendor of the ornament is overwhelming. Fine dark curls rest against his beautiful forehead, and both lovers shine with one undivided radiance. In all three worlds we have seen no vision like this vision of the youthful couple. (21)
