Pada 205

The youthful Divine Couple are the life of every life.

Night and day the clever thieves of hearts savor ever-new delight and repose; laughing and making one another laugh, they lose all awareness, immersed in rasa.

Memory and reason depart; beneath the moon’s radiance they remain absorbed in the moon-faced Lord. Around them, the fortunate companions learn the twisting ways of Love.

Says Yugal-ananya Ali: the lovers remain immersed in waves of rasa, night and day.

Pada 206

The singular bridegroom is a priceless treasure, lovely and beautiful.

Every limb is adorned with the colors of rasa; from head to foot he shines in splendid array. Seeing him, every comparison grows flavorless, and the mind is forever captivated.

He has enchanted the moving and unmoving worlds; all are intoxicated by this storehouse of joy. Says Yugal-ananya Ali: my heart longs to behold the sparkle of his sidelong glance.

Pada 207

I have fallen in love with that detached beloved!

The fire of separation has doubled since he left me and went away. He counseled me to be indifferent, yet then departed after placing the jewel of love within my heart.

I do not know in what land he now lingers, or what enchantress has ensnared him. Says Yugal-ananya Ali: for the Beloved’s sake I have become a yogini in every way.

Pada 208

Now I have become a true and fortunate bride. The Lord of Kosala has bestowed his grace, and I have tasted the sweetness of the Beloved’s love.
