In Satsang, we keep emphasizing the fact that do not leave this world. Basically, don't die without coming to God. Do whatever else you have to do in your life, but this part for which your soul is designed, as it's possible really to have a meeting with God, we must not waste this opportunity to be in God's presence, to meet God. That is the core premise of Satsang.
So, when we say pray, or when we say self-inquiry, or when we say remember God, it is so that our soul becomes fertile for that holy meeting with God. So, when Mama is saying I have to pray, I have to remember his name, it is so that she can come to the meeting with God, she can remain in that holy place where the meeting with God happens.
Because what happens is that the soul is like this tumbler, and like this cup; let's presume it's a cup. So, I can fill this up with drinking water, or I can fill it up with Coca-Cola, or I can fill it up with whiskey, or I can fill it up with whatever. So, our soul is like that. If you fill it up with ego, the me, me, me, is ego, then it's filled with that, right? So, let's say for a moment that ego is like whiskey. So you fill it up with this intoxicant called the me, which is like whiskey, then there is no space left in the cup anymore to put God in, or to meet God.
So, our attempt in Satsang is to remove selfishness, is to remove pride, is to remove egotism, and to make ourselves available to God in the way of love, kindness, peace, compassion, humility, all the good qualities. And those who are attempting to come to this holy meeting, naturally their soul's quality, it changes. It goes from selfishness to love. It goes from conflict to peace. It goes more and more towards kindness.
So all of it is so that we can fulfill what we feel is the highest purpose of our existence, which is the possibility of meeting God himself while being alive in this life. That is really the crux of what we are doing in Satsang. Right?

You must have heard teachers say that you must find out who we are. But we cannot find out who we are using conceptual knowledge. Right? So like, what is the capital of Texas? Okay, so I'm presuming it's Austin, right? But how do I know that? I've never been to that Texas. I know that because I have the concept of it. I have like a conceptual knowledge that the capital of Texas is Austin. Right?
But the knowledge of God is not available through conceptual knowledge. Like if you just know that he lives in my heart, that is not the knowledge of the Atma Gyan. That gyan part is unique in its way. You see? It's unique. It's a different type of knowledge. It's not perceivable. Like how do I know there are five fingers? Because I perceive the five fingers. So it's not perceivable knowledge like that. Nor is it just conceptual knowledge. Like what is the capital of this country? Which city are we living in? All of these things are conceptual knowledge.
So now 99% of people in spirituality are trying to understand spirituality conceptually. So it's like one movie I saw where this man is constantly saying, he's got this British hangover. So, he's constantly saying, "Have you been to this part of London? Have you been to Piccadilly Circus? Have you been like that?" Then close to the end of the movie, a friend asked him, "So, when did you go to London last?" And this man says, "I haven't yet had the pleasure." So, he's not really been there. So, he's not talking authoritatively about it. He is just talking from bookish knowledge.
So, most people in spirituality, unfortunately, are talking just from bookish knowledge, or what they think they've understood, or what their mind is telling them in terms of thoughts about what is spirituality. But spirituality means to meet the spirit, to meet the Atma. And very few people are actually speaking from the meeting with the Atma itself. So, they haven't really met God. God has just become a topic of conversation without meeting. Right? So, it's like you're speaking a lot about, say, they're both Suryavanshi, but they haven't seen him back. They haven't actually met him. They know nothing about him. But they just read some newspaper reports about him, but they're speaking authoritatively about Vairagya Suryavanshi.
So, in Satsang, what we attempt to do is not speak just conceptually or from ideas. We are trying to speak from true insight. So, traditionally, a guru is one who has had that insight, has had that Atma Gyan, has had that Atma darshan. So, traditionally, that's what has given them the authority to share...
