Your Experience Of Your Self Is Beyond Most Blissful Experience
Your experience of your own Self transcends even the most blissful experiences available in existence.
The mind will try its best to devalue this experience or non-experience. By saying ‘Is that it… but…’? You know (all) whatever doubt it [the mind] may have, but whatever… Now this voice which will try to devalue and say ‘Is that it? How does it help?’ All of this stuff, that has no real insight into it. That which is your discovery of yourself is much more primal. The mind's conclusions about it are like the grandson talking about how the grandfather was born. So don’t take any such input from your mind and devalue this. Because according to the mind it will say ‘But this is nothing’. It is no-thing, but it is beyond anything that you will ever experience. Your experience of your Self is way beyond any… the most blissful worldly experience does not stand in front of it at all. Except if we are just interpreting using our mind. You are experiencing yourself as beyond quality, beyond attributes, beyond time, beyond space, beyond all these opposites of the intellect. [Silence] The Ananda of this, the bliss of this Brahman, the Self; is way beyond any objective bliss which your mind may be hankering for. One also tip wanted to give (I got reminded by reading the chat) is that many times we feel like ‘Okay, we can’t think our way through it, we can’t experience a way to It and we can’t have any expectations from It’. And we feel like ‘Okay, better I just keep quiet or be silent’. But you can’t ‘be silent’ - your way to It. If our idea of ‘be silent’ is the absence of words then everybody who could not speak would be enlightened. So the silence which the Sages are pointing to is not just the absence of words, is not something that which you could ‘do’. They are pointing that which Is. So even the attempt to… and this is what the third point I was making was that ‘The expectation that ‘my’ life should change in some way as a result of this Self-discovery’. Whose life? We are still talking about the life of one body-mind no? We are not talking about the whole universe changing in some way. So when we are talking about even the manifest aspect we are still limiting ourselves to just one aspect of that which appears. That which we have intimately identified as ‘I’ for a long time. So empty of even that concern about whether it should be like this always or when it will become stable. Simpler. Because there was never a time when you have checked and you were not there. Isn’t it? tiave you ever checked and you saw that you are not there? [Smiles]
