What We Are Looking for Is Most Obvious

The realization we've been seeking is not far away but is the most obvious presence - our own being/I-am-ness that has always been here.

That which we are looking for is that which is most obvious, doesn’t need one step in any direction. Not even reverse gear. Nothing. You don’t have to go forward-backward. Just where you are, you are It. Wherever whatever your situation is, whatever may be happening in your world, in your mind, in your emotions, in your body, whatever may be happening doesn’t touch you, doesn’t touch It. You are It. Don’t need to take a step. If you try to think about it, it would be to take a step. Even if you try to understand it with your intellect, it is taking a step. If you are trying to perceive something, it is taking a step. You don’t need a step. Right here right now, before here and now you are It. This is not lost on you. This is completely clear to you. [Silence] To expect something from this, is to take a step. For this to have some meaning, is to take a step. [Silence] Who are you right now? Without needing to take any step, what is upmost apparent to you right now? Most apparent without needing any deduction, without needing any experience. [Silence] Even beyond clarity or doubt. [Silence] Don’t bother with any appearance for some time. And don’t bother with anything that you think. What is lee? [Silence] Empty of grasping on to any phenomena, have you also lee? Have you gone? What witnesses this? [Meditative Silence] All phenomena is coming and going. Let it go. Don’t attach to anything. If everything was to go as it will who remains to witness it? At this point, the tentacles of your intellect will try to make some understanding out of this. But that which you think you will understand is not greater than what you are finding directly. [Silence] We have a habit to try and conclude something. Just observe the habit and let it go. No conclusion is necessary here. Not grasping anything, not trying to collect anything - is Freedom. [Meditative Silence] Trying to pick your experiences, trying to pick your thoughts and trying to understand - is bondage. You have understood by now that all this Truth, your own Self; is beyond your conceptual understanding. The Truth is much greater than anything that your intellect can fathom. Let go of all attempts. What is it that you can’t let go of? [Silence] Let go of your need to be right. Your conclusions, is what bondage looks like. And your openness, your freedom, your innocence, your recognition, is what liberation looks like. Simpler than simple. Independent of any states. What you are finding is not a state. It is not an experience. It is the ultimate simplest seeing. The mind is complex. Let it go. Your knowledge is getting in the way of Self-knowledge. The knower and the known are stuck in duality. [Meditative Silence] That which you think you are right about burdens you. That which you think you are wrong about also burdens you. Let go of both. [Meditative Silence] Let go of the idea that ‘You are the body’. Let go of the idea that ‘You are a Being’. Let go of every idea, even the idea that ‘You are the Self’. Your reality is independent of all ideas. [Silence] What do you need to know yourself? [Meditative Silence] What could you be looking for now? What could you find that could be greater than your Self? But you are your Self. That is the only thing which will never lose. This simplest human enterprise for the mind is the most difficult. It is impossible actually. But as you let go of this false representation of yourself you see that it is the most simple. In fact, even simple doesn’t apply because it is already what you are.
