What Could Come in This Play that Could Be Worth Living a Lie?

Life is a divine play where nothing worldly is worth living falsely for - only awakening to truth frees us from the dream of separation.

What could come in this play that could make it worthwhile to live a lie? (That is another way to put the same question) And that answer may be very clear to you, if there is some answer coming it may even show you what attachments are still there. ‘If I just had this, then it may be worth living a lie’ - but it won’t last, it won’t last. Because everything that you find here you lose, not only that it just goes, but also your interest from it also goes. Isn’t it? It’s not just that the fact that, everything that comes goes but also the fact that our interest in something also is not constant in this world. That is why Truth is different. Truth is independent of these kinds of things. It is when you loose interest in that which changes, then automatically the heart yearns for that which is true. So you don’t have to develop an interest in the Truth. You just start to loose interest so much, in trying to control, in trying to own, these kinds of things become just naturally like that. But then the mind plays with that and says ‘But I was promised joy, where is my three-kilograms of joy that I was promised?’ [Smile] Sometimes like that no, that somebody says, ‘But yesterday I was feeling so much bliss and today I lost the bliss, I may have lost it. I may have lost it.’ So I’ll say ‘Okay, how many kilograms of bliss will make you happy?’ What is it? It’s just a materialistic thing. Everything phenomenal is material. So in spirituality, we are not moving from [Gestures of hands holding couch] this kind of gross material to subtle material. Like ‘I just want joy, joy.’ It can come, there is no aversion to that, it is welcome to come. It is joyful for joy to come. [Smiles] But it is not that you are dependent on it. It is in fact, dependent on you for its existence. Joy cannot be without you. Bliss cannot be without you. You can be independent of all of this. None of this has to appear for you to be. Even your Being doesn’t have to be for you to be. That is your immensity. So, once this… you start to taste this tasteless taste, which seems to always be there but neglected somehow. Don’t ask me how or why it happens? [Smile] Just seems to be this way, that we have neglected the taste of our own Self. And once we start tasting this tasteless taste, flavorless like water, neutral, then you don’t want to exchange it for anything else. But all else is allowed to come. But you are not hankering or feverish aeer anything. So from our feverishness, we may become… it may become hankering, from our hankering it may become like a preference, from our preference it may become… whatever is, is okay. So you are not trying to control which perceptions have to appear or have to disappear for you. The second aspect is that once you see that whatever may appear or disappear doesn’t tangibly impact your Reality in anyway then also the fear of ‘what may appear’ goes. One is the desire for what should be, the other is the fear that this should not be, like the aversion. So both aspects you see though. There is nothing that can happen in this world play which can actually touch you, in any way. The best best thing, and then the worst worst thing, either of them cannot really touch the Reality of you. This is the magnificence of your Self. This is the innocence of your Self. So for you, there is no, nothing to judge, there is nothing to hanker for, there is nothing to complain about, Hll you take yourself to be something other than what you are. So this is the benefit of the Truth. It is beyond all other benefits. But, but there is nothing phenomenally that you have to gain in your Self-discovery.
