The Healing Is to Recognize That You Are Not Your Mind

Healing happens when we recognize we are the awareness that observes the mind, not the mind itself.

End Of Suffering All that we are in Satsang for is to come to this discovery because as Guruji [Sri Mooji] has said that ‘Only those who come to know themselves come to the end of suffering’. All our other attempts, all our mental attempts, all our physical attempts are to come to the end of suffering…(audio not clear) we are not making any mental attempts or physical attempts to suffer more. So, the Master has clearly told us that ‘Only those who come to this Self-knowledge are free from suffering’. This doesn’t mean that there is a opposition to doing something else. But that play can go on and it does go on in its own way. But…at least when we are in Satsang we are here for this pristine discovery, pristine insight which is the same as ‘Dropping the false notion about our Self.’

Key Teachings

  • The healing we seek comes through recognizing that we are not our mind, but the aware presence that observes it
  • The mind, including thoughts, emotions, and even the body, is what we observe—not who we are
  • True freedom lies in disidentifying from mental activity and resting as the silent witness
mind, awareness, healing, self-inquiry, non-identification, witness
