Meet Me Without Your Narrative
Drop the mental story and narrative to meet reality, the teacher, and your own self directly—without the filters of conceptual understanding.
If we threw away all these meanings, throw away everything that we thought we knew, that - Being is subtle, the mind is loud, chaos is there, I get lost in it, I have to value something, that there is a door being knocked at - if we let go of all of these meanings, is there something missing? [Silence] In fact, it is these meanings which are limiting us… are defining us. Our representations that ‘this is what is happening to me’ are defining us. All of you have seen that no matter how broad or high the concept maybe it cannot encapsulate what Is, even the manifest of what Is. Meet me without your narrative, meet me without any narrative. Our mind has this fear that ‘Without a narrative, it won’t be frui{ul meeting.’ But it’s not true.
Key Teachings
- The mental narrative and story we tell ourselves creates separation from direct truth and authentic experience
- True meeting with the teacher or one's own self requires dropping all conceptual frameworks and stories
