Do’s and Don’ts of Satsang
The only dos are showing up and keeping attention on what is pointed to; the main don't is trying to understand or conceptualize, which misses the direct pointing.
‘I am attending the Satsang for the first time, can you guide me about what are the do and don’ts?’
Ahh, not many actually, just show up, just show up [Smiles] you can join Satsang and if it feels like you have some sense of control over something then as much as is natural and possible keep your attention on what is being pointed. Don’t go on too many mental adventures, as many as possible. If, if, don’t judge yourself on any of that, it is just because you are asking what are the dos and don’ts. So just show up and just, if you feel like you have some sense of control over attention, keep your attention on what is being said and don’t try to conceptualize or understand or make a spiritual diagram in your head. Don’t try to ‘get’ what I am saying because if you get what I am saying then you are not getting what I am saying. If you ‘get’ what I am saying then you are not getting what I am saying. I know okay, sorry this is your first time here; I am not going to scare you away. [Smiles] Just bring your attention to whatever is being said and that much is fine. That much is fine.
Key Teachings
