Don’t Doubt

Doubt is a mental movement that obscures the direct recognition of truth; true certainty arises from the silent presence of awareness itself, not from thought.

[Reading from chat] So one good report. This one says ‘I met one strict master. Casually while discussing I said ‘but’ [Smile] he shouted ‘But… means cut from God’. [Laughs] I like that one. I like this one. In a way, it reminds me out what Papaji [Sri H. W. L. Poonja] said, One man, he sat in front of Papaji, he says ‘Can you show me God, can you show me, God?’ And Papaji says that ‘If you don’t doubt you will see God. If you don’t doubt you will see God. What do you see now? (It’s a longer one I am paraphrasing). He says ‘If you don’t doubt you will see God’. So, this man says ‘I don’t see God’. [Smiles] So Papaji says ‘Don’t - is doubt. I said don’t doubt. What do you see now?’ So, this man the moment he said ‘I see God!’ [Laughs] It’s as simple as that and if you give it to your intellect and mind, the mind will say ‘It is just wordplay’. It is not, it’s as simple as that. ‘But means cut from God’ - I like that. [Smiles] Doubt is impossible for Reality and your Reality does not change, therefore it is not subject to any doubt. What, what can you doubt. That is what we have been looking for all-day in Satsang today, isn’t it? Like ‘Can you not be the witnessing, just lose your Self, just become something else, become limited, just be the body… all these things you yourself said ‘impossible, impossible, impossible’. Therefore, this ‘doubt’ is just impossible.
