श्रीयुगलोत्कण्ठा प्रकाशिका विनय-माला ॥ रसिक उरहार ॥ ॥ सोरठा ॥ ‘रूपसरस’ सुखखानि, प्रियप्रीतम की लाड़िली । ‘शुभशीला’ सुखदानि, पाद-मंजु पंकज अली ॥१ ‘चाहिशीला’! प्रतिपाल, शरणागत की हो सदा । युग बिना सियवरलाल, कबहुँ नहीं आनन्ददा ॥२ ॥ दोहा ॥ परिकरि युत श्रीस्वामिनी, सुख बिबर्धनी साथ । हमको दीजे सुख सदा, अब गहि लीजै हाथ ॥३ पद पंकज देखे बिना, वृथा जन्म जग जात । सीतावर युत मिलहु अब, छिन पल कलप विहात ॥४ है सीते नृप नन्दिनी, है रघुराज कुमार । तुम बिनु व्याकुल चित रहत, रही न नेकु सम्हार ॥५ असन बसन कुलकानितजि, सब से भई उदास । विरह अगिनि बाढ़त भई, ताहि पवन उसांस ॥६ ताहू पर घृत बरस है, टपकत नयनन नीर । बुझत नहीं बाढ़त अधिक, को जाने यह पीर ॥७

Fresh English

1. Rūpasarasa, treasure-house of happiness and darling of the beloved Pair; Śubhaśīlā, giver of happiness, is a bee at their lovely lotus feet.

2. O Cāhiśīlā, always sustain and protect one who has taken refuge. Without the Couple—Sīyā and her beloved—I never receive delight.

3. Sovereign Lady, surrounded by your retinue and accompanied by the increaser of happiness, grant me happiness forever; take my hand now.

4. Without beholding your lotus feet, birth in this world passes fruitlessly. Come now together with Sītā's bridegroom; every instant and moment passes like an age.

5. O Sītā, daughter of a king; O prince of Raghu's line: without you my heart remains distraught and not the slightest composure survives.

6. Abandoning concern for food, clothing, and family honour, I have become indifferent to everything. Separation's fire keeps growing, and the wind of sighs fans it.

7. Upon that fire clarified butter rains down as tears drip from my eyes. It is not extinguished but grows still greater—who can understand this pain?
