अवध लखि जन्म सुफल करिहौं। सरजू छवि हिय धरिहौं॥ बाग कुंज कुंज अनुराग कोटि बिचित्र लखि परम सुहाई खाई उतरि पार परिहौं॥ चारुशीलाजू की परम कृपा अलि मिलि तेहि संग महल जाय छवि नैन रैन भरिहौं॥ युगलप्रिया है चेरी चन्द्रकलाजू की नेरी अभय करि दोउ प्रिये मिलाय अब काहू की नाहिं डर डरिहौं॥
Fresh English translation
Seeing Ayodhya, I shall make my birth fruitful and hold Sarayu's beauty in my heart. I shall cross the lovely moat, behold countless wondrous bowers of love, and reach the other shore. By Charushila's supreme grace I shall meet a companion, go with her to the palace and fill my eyes with beauty through the night. Yugalapriya is Chandrakala's little maid; once the two Beloveds grant fearlessness and unite her with them, whom should she fear?
