झूलें श्रीजानकीवल्लभ रंग हिंडोरना रे। रंगपटुली चौकीदारी छतुरी अद्भुत मनिगन तोरना रे॥ कंचन खंभे जटित रंगमनि मरुवा बेलन मोरना रे॥ तापर रंग मयूर की रंगन बोलत है चितचोरना रे॥ रंगभरी झूलन पद गावत ललनागन चहुँओरना रे॥ युगलप्रिया रसिकन मन उमगत सुनत मृदंग टकोरना रे॥

Shri Janaki's Beloved swings on the colourful seat beneath a wondrous jewel-strung canopy. Golden pillars are set with coloured gems, vines and peacocks; above them painted peacocks call in mind-stealing colours. Young companions sing swing-songs on every side. Hearing the mridanga strike, Yugalapriya and the rasikas' hearts surge.
