उमड़ि घुमड़ि आई बादर कारी। दशरथलालन जनकललीजू बैठे सखिन संग महल अटारी॥ कुसुमी बसन युगल तन राजत जगमगात भूषन उजियारी। अलकें बिधुरि रहीं मुख ऊपर झुमक चन्द्रिक लटक सँवारी॥ चन्द्रावती मृदंग टकोरति चन्द्रा तानपूरा करतारी। चन्द्रकलाजू बीन बजावति गावत उमंग भरे पिय प्यारी॥ अधिक प्रवाह बढ़्यो सरयू को भरे प्रमोद बिलोकत वारी। युगलप्रिया रसिकन के संपति अगम निरखि रतिपति बलिहारी॥

Flower-coloured garments grace their bodies and bright ornaments glitter; disordered curls fall over their faces beneath swaying moonlike pendants. Chandravati strikes the mridanga, Chandra keeps time on the tanpura, and Chandrakala plays vina while the delighted Pair sings. Sarayu's current swells; they watch the water filled with joy. Seeing the rasikas' inaccessible treasure, Yugalapriya says even Love himself would surrender.
