गलबहियाँ दिये बैठे दोउ आय सरजू कुंज पुलिन मनभाये। मनिन जड़ित कंचन की अवनी बिपिन प्रमोद प्रभा दरसाये॥ चहुँदिशि अलिगन लसत निकाये। निरखि निरखि नव नेह बढ़ाये॥ सीस चंद्रिका किरीट सुहाये। कुसुमी बसन भूषन छवि छाये॥ देत परसपर पान खवाये। मधुर मधुर बतियाँ बतराये॥ रूप सुधा पीवत न अधाये॥ अघटित प्रीति बरनि नहिं जाये॥ युगलप्रिया यह दंपति की छवि निरखत नैन रह्यौ मढ़ाये॥
Fresh English translation
Arm in arm, the Pair arrives and sits in the beloved bower on Sarayu's sandy bank. Pramodavana's gem-set golden earth reveals its radiance. Companies of companions shine on every side and, looking again and again, increase fresh love. Moonlike crowns grace their heads; flower-coloured garments and ornaments spread beauty. They feed one another betel and exchange sweet words, never sated by drinking the nectar of each other's form. Their impossible love cannot be described. Yugalapriya's eyes remain fixed upon the married Pair.
