प्यारीजू होरी खेलन आई श्रीसरयू तट कुंज प्रमोद धाम। बीना मृदंग उपंग सुघर सों गावैं रंगीली बर बाम॥ प्रीतम आये धाय अंग ज्यों अंजन छाये प्यारी भाय दे गुलाल बैठे थकि ठाम। युगलप्रिया दोउ मूठी गुलाल भरत सब समाज अंग लगाम॥

Pyari has come to play Holi in Pramodadhama's bower on Shri Sarayu's bank. The lovely women sing skilfully with vina, mridanga and upanga. The Beloved rushes in, his limbs dark as collyrium; Pyari lovingly gives him gulal until, tired, they sit down. Yugalapriya fills both fists with gulal and colours the whole assembly.
