लालन की छवि जोरी नहिं कही। मिथिलापुर की नारि निहारति मानहुँ चन्द्रचकोरी ही॥ पंचवक्त्र शिव चतुरमुखी विधि विष्णु चतुर्भुज थोरी लही॥ उमा रमा ब्रह्मानि रती नहिं है मिथिलेश किशोरी सही॥ युगलप्रिया उपमेय युगल छवि कवि मति सिंधु हिलोरी रही॥
Fresh English translation
The beauty of the Beloved Pair cannot be told. Mithila's women gaze as if they were partridges fixed upon the moon. Even five-faced Shiva, four-faced Brahma and four-armed Vishnu comprehend little; Uma, Rama, Brahmani and Rati are not the equal of Mithila's princess. For Yugalapriya their beauty is beyond comparison, while the poet's mind merely surges like the sea.
