चलोनी सदके जादी बना आया महबूब। लली जो मिथिलापति की लालन अवध के भूप॥ अंग अंग ठगोरी डारो चश्मोदीदानी खूब। युगलप्रिया बनी गोरी बना साँवल स्वरूप। युगल की सेवा भूमि रसिकन की लगन दूब॥

Come, let me be offered up: the magical, beloved bridegroom has arrived—the darling of Mithila's king and the prince of Ayodhya's lord. Every limb casts a spell; his eyes are wonderfully radiant. For Yugalapriya the bride is fair and the bridegroom dark. Service to the Pair is the rasikas' ground, and attachment to them its living grass.
