The darling bride is incomparable and the bridegroom is intoxicated: Mithila's princess, a treasury of lovely virtues, and King Dasharatha's darling. Dark and fair, from nail to crown they are the very abode of beauty, every limb heavy with splendour. Struck down by longing, Yugalapriya pines for their sight.
