ये जागे श्याम सिया संग रंग भरे रंगमहल कनकभवन ऐन कुंज धाम। अलसों सोहैं नैन भपकोहैं मोहैं मैन अंग अंग सुरत समर छाम॥ निज कुंज ते छटा सी छवि कुंज कुंज आई चन्द्रकलादिक वाम। बीना मृदंग उपंग कठतार चंग मिलित चरित गावती ललाम॥ यह रसराज समाज बिलोकत बिसर्यो है सब मन काम। युगलप्रिया मगन भई रसिकन धन मिलन हेतु रटति युगल नाम॥
Fresh English translation
Dark Rama has awakened with Siya, filled with colour in the Rangamahal, the golden palace, the mirror-bright bower-abode. Their drowsy blinking eyes are beautiful and enchant Love; every limb bears the weariness of love's battle. Chandrakala and the other beauties come shining from their own bowers. Vina, mridanga, upanga, clappers and chang join as those peerless companions sing the Pair's deeds. Beholding this assembly of the king of rasa, every desire is forgotten. Absorbed, Yugalapriya repeats the Pair's name to gain the rasikas' treasure of meeting.
