My mind has settled in Ayodhya's lanes. On seeing the wondrous palace set with gold and gems, every longing bears fruit. A golden fortress, crystal and pictured jewels flash across the city; its moat is full of clear water and joins Sarayu's coloured revelry. Pramodavana spreads on every side over radiant golden ground; each bower is a mass of love alive with accomplished companions. Within are thousands of courts and marketplaces, each with a differently coloured floor. The life of Yugalapriya, daughter of Beauty, is the darling daughter of King Janaka.
